Bear Flat Cricket Club’s women’s squad marked a major milestone by entering two teams into their first-ever softball festival, enjoying a day of competitive cricket, growing confidence and strong support from the sidelines.

Across four matches, the players made impressive progress as early nerves gave way to assurance and composure. For a squad still in its infancy, Bear Flat matched their opponents with both bat and ball, producing a series of eye-catching shots, well-taken wickets and confident catches throughout the day.

Family and friends provided tremendous backing from the boundary, cheering every run, delivery and fielding effort, helping to create a memorable atmosphere for everyone involved. The occasion was marked by smiles all round and gave the players a day to remember as the team continues to develop.

Bear Flat CC also extended its thanks to Winsley Cricket Club for hosting the festival and for providing umpires and scorers, whose efforts helped ensure the event ran smoothly. It was, by all accounts, a thoroughly enjoyable and encouraging day for the club’s women’s section.
