Umpire Ted recently engaged Rich Hayes, to replace his roof. This proved to be “one of my best decisions this year. The quote was promptly sent, very competitive and included scaffolding and skip hire costs. The work started on time and the scaffolding company were excellent – very pleasant and polite, and worked extremely hard to complete the work in a day. It was a stress-free experience and it looks very good, with a lot of attention to detail that I didn’t really expect”.

As a consequence of doing such a great job, Rich Hayes Roofing had received referrals from one of
umpire Ted’s neighbours and one of Ted’s friends.

Rich Hayes lives “over the county border” in Midsomer Norton.  Having spent several years working for Bath based building firms, Rich decided to establish his own company, which is now three years into trading, and going strong, employing eight craftsmen.  He specialises in loft conversations but will happily undertake any job no matter how big or small.  He can help to repair, replace tiles and maintain any roof to a high standard.  The company’s expertise includes slating, tiling, lead work, fascias, gutters, soffits, cladding, re-roofs, general repairs, rubber roofing and more.  Rich is part of the “checkatrade” scheme and reviews for his work can be found here.  Rich’s company has clients in and around Bath, Radstock, Trowbridge, Bristol, Warminster and throughout Somerset.

Rich played cricket in his youth at county level for his school but was unable to continue to commit to playing each week whilst building his business.  He is a big fan of all local sports and has always been keen to support small clubs with big ambitions, so his sponsorship is a match made in heaven for The Bears.  Whilst his business keeps him busy most Saturdays, he hopes to come along to the Glasshouse during the 2018 season to lend support to The Bears.

As always there will be an award winning cricket tea on offer should Rich make it over the county line….
